I don't know if it's just because it's Friday, or if I'm getting sick, or something else, but I'm feeling the funk. And not the good kind of funk, either. I've wanted to eat crappy all day, I'm tired, and extremely moody (who, me?) Dustin got a little bit of it this morning and I cried on the way to work. Thankfully I have to drive half an hour to get there, so they were dried up by the time I showed up. What is wrong with me? I know I need to get into the gym tonight but I just feel down. Down would be the best word to describe it. So, once again we'll see if I actually make it to the gym.
And I'm sorry for writing such a downer post today. Wow I'm a fun person to be around. It's just one of those days though, and I'm sure tomorrow will be much better. Maybe even tonight. And it better be good by tomorrow because I'm going WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING! Yay! That cheered me up a bit!

This is definitely newsworthy...
I officially have 6 Followers!!!! Holy crap, how did that happen?!?! Not that I'm complaining...I am truly jealous of those that have hundreds of followers. It means that people are actually listening to what they have to say. So now, I have 6 peeps that are potentially listening to my story, as boring as it may be. Thanks!
In other news, I logged 3 miles on the treadmill last night and got an upper body strength workout in. I did the strength workout first, which might have been a mistake, because by the time I got on the treadmill my motivation was gone. Completely gone. Vanished.
So while my arms were barely working after lifting, I got on the treadmill. I walked a lap, and then thought, "I might just not do this tonight." Really? My goodness, it's not like I had to go 10 miles or anything. All I wanted to do was 3 miles, not that hard. It took all of my willpower to continue, but I did it. I had to read my Runner's World magazine and walk the last half mile, but I made it.
This tells me a little about myself. On any given day in the "past", I would have just got off and went home. I would have felt guilty and then I would have binged because I felt guilty for not working out. Not last night! I finished those miles and then picked up Subway for me and Dustin. I ate healthy and didn't even have ice cream for dessert (only because we didn't get home until after 9...I probably would have had it if I was home). I think I should get an 'A' for yesterday!
Not sure if I'm going to work out tonight. I should, especially because Dustin won't be there for me to come home to, so I should just suck it up and get some more miles in. But then again, I'm kind of tired and not might not do it. If I don't, my eating will still be on track though. I'll think about it...

Weign-In Wednesday & Goals
And now what you've all been waiting for...
Weigh-In Wednesday!
Ok so maybe I'm the only person that tries not to step on the scale from Thursday through Tuesday, and really the only person that actually cares how much I weigh. However, it motivates me when I think that someone out there reads my blog and wonders just how much, if any, weight Caitlin has lost for the week.
This week I'm happy to report that the scale said............163!
I'm down another pound! 13 more to go!
I'm pretty thrilled, considering that I had kind of a crappy weekend in the eating department. But I've been working out hard and eating well *most* days, and it has apparently paid off!
With Weigh-In Wednesday, I'm also going to start posting my weekly goals. It's just easier to do both at the same time instead of different days. So here goes:
As I mentioned above, I'm switching my monthly challenge to the February Fitness Challenge. January was all about the miles, and February will be too. But, in accordance to goal number 3, I will include strength training and plyos into the mix. I'm ready to get on top of it. There are 3 less days in February, so I really need to stick to my workouts so I don't get behind in miles. A good challenge!
Have a happy day!

With Weigh-In Wednesday, I'm also going to start posting my weekly goals. It's just easier to do both at the same time instead of different days. So here goes:
- I've got 9 more miles to do by Sunday for my January Miles Challenge. Then begins February Fitness Challenge (I'll explain in a minute), which will also include 60 miles. So by my calculations, I
want towill get in at least 14 miles by the end of next Tuesday. - Eat within my calorie range. This might be a toughy (is that really a word?) considering that I'm going out of town this weekend. However, here's the deal: I track my calories on SparkPeople, which says I can have anywhere between 1500 and 1900 calories. So the plan is to stay within that range. While I'm still home, I'm going to stick closer to the 1500 mark and while I'm gone I just want to stay below the 1900 mark.
- I've been doing good in the cardio department, but my strength training is essentially nonexistent. So with that, I will strength train at least twice a week. This will mean doing both upper and lower body in one session, so that I will get at least two workouts each week for both. I need to hold myself accountable!
